Alison has been extremely professional, faultless and the most helpful throughout our wedding planning process. We got married at the weekend and Alison designed and created the most perfect cake for our magical day. She drafted a design based on meticulous instructions given and ideas I had expressed and it was simply stunning. It tastes exquisite and looks phenomenal. It really did hold its own in the grandness of our venue. Alison was very fair and reasonable, going above and beyond with her services. She kindly added foliage to our decorative hoop, flowers to our cake that complimented the venue flowers beautifully and she very kindly sent out samples of her cake flavours in the post to help us to shortlist flavours. Alison has maintained a positive and friendly attitude and has demonstrated a very flexible approach also the day after when we needed to return the hoop. If you take a look at her diverse range of designs on Instagram, you can soon learn the extent of this lady’s imagination!! Thanks again Alison. You were everything we could have dreamed for!

Thank you to Alison for the most incredible Birthday cake. I found her website through a google search and was very impressed with how beautiful her cakes looked. I wanted something very different and so sent lots of ideas of colours and flowers arrangements she came up with the most perfect creation that wowed me and my guests. Alison made our fabulous wedding cake for our wedding at the end of last year. Alison made our beautiful wedding cake at the Langdale Chase Hotel in Ambleside. We went for a hexagonal, semi naked chocolate fudge cake with white chocolate frosting. It looked and tasted AMAZING and everyone commented on how it was the best cake they had ever tasted. Could not recommended Alison more!!! Thank you so so much xxx

Alison designed and made the cake for my daughter’s wedding last week. We were travelling 250 miles, which meant a heavy reliance on Alison’s experience as we couldn’t meet prior to the wedding. It was a painless experience from beginning to end. The cake arrived to promised schedule looking almost as beautiful as the bride. Not only did it look fantastic, but it tasted beautiful. The cake was a moist chocolate sponge, the icing made with white chocolate complimented perfectly, and the flower decorations looked real- matching the flowers chosen for the wedding theme. I cannot recommend Alison highly enough. If you place your trust in her, I do not think you will be disappointed.

Alison made our cake for our Wedding and it was amazing! It was exactly what we wanted and asked for to suit our rustic wedding theme and all the guests commented about how delicious it tasted! My husband also ordered a 30th cake for my birthday and it was equally impressive and tasty (raspberry and white chocolate mmmm) Alison as a person is so down-to-earth and friendly and she really helped us with our wedding cake by supplying extra bits such as the cake topper and suggesting flowers to go with the cake. We live in the North of Scotland and contacted Alison about creating the cake for our wedding at the borders. Alison was so helpful and posted out the most delicious cake samples for us to try. We had a rough idea of the style of cake we wanted but we couldn’t believe our eyes when we saw it on the day It was beyond expectations, not only did it it taste AMAZING but it looked absolutely stunning We had 4 tiers, each with a different flavour, and a line of sugar roses that ran from top to bottom. It was absolutely perfect!! Alison also came out on the day and set the cake up for us too Alison kept in touch with us during the process of creating the cake and answered all of our queries as they arose which made us feel completely at ease despite living so far away. We can’t recommend Cakes by Alison Fawkes highly enough! Thank you so much for creating the wedding cake of our dreams.

Alison came to our rescue when our original cake maker unfortunately caught covid 4 days before our wedding! This lady must be superwoman. After a frantic 10 minute consultation over the phone (whilst she was also out delivering cakes) we just had to keep everything crossed but wow! The cake was stunning and tasted amazing.
