Shipping Policy

Cakes by Alison offers delivery and/or collection depending on the product ordered and the arrangements agreed at the time of booking.

Wedding Cake Sample Boxes

The available delivery or collection options for wedding cake sample boxes will be confirmed when ordering.

Where delivery is available, please ensure that the delivery address and contact information supplied are correct.

As our sample boxes contain freshly made, perishable products, we recommend that they are opened promptly on arrival and stored in accordance with any instructions supplied with the box.

If there is a problem with your delivery, or your box arrives damaged, please contact Cakes by Alison as soon as reasonably possible.

Wedding Cake Delivery

Delivery and professional set-up may be arranged for wedding cakes and will be confirmed as part of your individual cake booking.

Any applicable delivery or set-up charge will be agreed with you before it becomes payable.

Clients are responsible for providing accurate venue details, including the venue address, event date, agreed access time and an appropriate venue contact where required.

It is the client's responsibility to ensure that the venue is able to provide access at the agreed delivery time.

Cake Set-Up

Where professional set-up is included, Cakes by Alison will deliver and assemble the cake in the agreed location.

Once delivery and set-up have been completed and the cake has been left safely at the venue, responsibility for the cake's subsequent storage, handling and environment passes to the client and/or venue, except where loss or damage results from something for which Cakes by Alison remains legally responsible.

Cakes should be kept away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, moisture and other conditions that may affect their appearance or stability.

Flowers, Cake Toppers & Other Decorations

Where fresh flowers, toppers or other items are being supplied by another wedding supplier, arrangements for adding these to the cake should be agreed in advance.

Cakes by Alison cannot accept responsibility for the quality or safety of items supplied by third parties, except where responsibility arises under applicable law.

Collection

Where collection has been agreed, the cake or product should be collected at the agreed date and time.

Once an order has been collected, the client or their representative is responsible for transporting and storing it appropriately, except to the extent that applicable law provides otherwise.

Guidance on safe transportation can be provided where required.

Delays or Circumstances Outside Our Control

If circumstances outside our reasonable control affect an agreed delivery, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and work with you to find an appropriate solution.
