CANCELLATION POLICY

At Cakes by Alison, every wedding and celebration cake is individually planned and created for each client. Once a booking has been confirmed, time is reserved in the diary specifically for your order and preparations may begin well in advance of your event.

Bespoke Wedding & Celebration Cakes

If you need to cancel your booking, please contact Cakes by Alison in writing as soon as possible.

Any cancellation will be dealt with in accordance with the terms agreed when your booking was confirmed.

Where work has already been undertaken or costs have been incurred in relation to your order, these may be taken into account when calculating any refund that may be due.

This can include, where applicable, design and consultation work already completed, ingredients or specialist materials purchased specifically for your cake, handmade decorations already produced, and other reasonable costs arising from your booking.

Where a cancellation occurs close to the event date and substantial work has already been undertaken, the amount that can be refunded may therefore be reduced.

Wedding Cake Sample Boxes

If you wish to cancel a wedding cake sample box, please contact Cakes by Alison as soon as possible.

Where preparation of your box has not yet begun, we will try to accommodate your cancellation wherever reasonably possible.

As sample boxes contain freshly prepared, perishable food, once your order has been prepared or supplied we are unable to accept cancellation simply because you have changed your mind.

This does not affect your statutory rights where a product is faulty, damaged or not as described.

Changes or Postponements

If your wedding or event is postponed rather than cancelled, please contact us as soon as possible.

Where possible, Cakes by Alison will try to transfer your booking to a new date, subject to availability. If we are unavailable on the new date, the booking will be treated in accordance with the cancellation terms applicable to your order.

Any additional costs resulting from a change of date, design, size, venue or other requirements will be discussed with you before proceeding.

Cancellation by Cakes by Alison

In the unlikely event that Cakes by Alison is unable to fulfil your order, we will contact you as soon as possible and explain the options available to you.

Where Cakes by Alison cancels an order and is unable to provide the agreed goods or services, payments for goods or services that will no longer be supplied will be refunded as required by applicable law.

Nothing within this Cancellation Policy is intended to exclude or restrict your statutory rights.
